We are an experienced and friendly team of builders and tradesmen, focussed on providing high quality and personalised services throughout all of our new home and renovation projects.
We work closely with clients to get to know them and their preferences, and as a result build good long term relationships with our clients. Bigwood Builders are local and family owned.
Bigwood Builders is made of a team of 12-15 guys with experience from Senior Builders and Foreman through to Apprentices and Labourers. We ensure each project has the correct mix of experience on site to ensure the project is timely, of a high standard and cost effective.
Mike Bigwood
Mike started out studying architecture but his desire to get 'stuck in' saw him finishing up after 2 years and heading off for a building apprenticeship. Mike was a very motivated apprentice and won Apprentice of the Year in Auckland in 2007. Mike has worked with some of the best in the industry on landmark projects such as Matakana Cinemas, Country Park and Gibbs Farm. He began his own Company shortly after completing his apprenticeship, and particularly enjoys the design aspect of his work.
Ben Wyatt
Through working on superyachts and lots international travel, Ben developed a passion for high-end design and transforming outdoor spaces. He’s a perfectionist by nature when it comes to finishing work, which stands him in good stead working on some of exceptional homes around the Matakana Coast.
